Okay…It Just Got Nasty in America…REALLY NASTY.
WARNING: THIS IS A RANT AND I AM RAISING HELL TOWARD THE END OF THIS POST AGAINST THOSE WHO HATE ANY STATE BELOW THE 36TH PARALLEL. THERE IS SOME VERNACULAR IN HERE…NOT REAL BAD BUT ENOUGH FOR ME TO WARN YOU IN ADVANCE.
Here is my take on what I see going on in this country and since I’m out here, and the politicians are up on their mental Mt. Olympus reading, “Profiles in Courage” which may or may not have been written by JFK, here is what I hear and see going on. Most of America is fed up of both parties representing their own egos (along with other interests) and not the people of this country.
These employees, whose paychecks are signed by the money they rob from us and the blood of our sons and daughters, continue to vote or pass what they THINK is best for America despite what America wants. This goes beyond doing what is “right” or “wrong”. In the mind of America, Washington D.C. is failing dismally at doing it’s job. They know they are paid to represent THE PEOPLE…Not their special interests…Not the bankers…Not Soros…Not the UN…
They are paid to represent the people of the United States of America and no matter which senator is in what party, if he/she is NOT doing THAT, he/she should be sent a resounding message by voting for a different candidate–and I still say the Libertarians and other 3rd parties are going to have a field day at election time over this.
I have dealt with one former FB friend in particular who calls everyone who doesn’t swallow the Dem Party platform hook-line-and sinker a “right-winger”. She wants her agenda and only her agenda to be law. The reality is, both parties are the problem in this country.
Americans are a lot more concerned with the money going out of their paychecks than they are with who marries who OR who gets an abortion. These are facts. This is what people out here are saying and it’s not just in “Red States” as she tries to allege. It’s everywhere.
I’m going to address something else that is going to help decide the next election. Regional bias. This intense hatred of any and all states that are considered to be “RED” by the media and the “Blue States” is generally any state below the 36th parallel. It is time for the media and the states above it to get it through their collective heads that the Civil War has been over for a very long time. These divides have nothing to do with race or that war. They have everything to do with ideology.
Most governing bodies have learned that if you tamper with the average working person’s paycheck and they have the ability to do so, they will vote you out in the next election. Period. This isn’t about gay marriage–which most aren’t too concerned with anymore. Let people marry who they want and mind your own business on that issue. Now that this has been dealt with both major parties need to shut up and drive on. It’s about the economy.
Universal Health care is not a bad idea. What is disputed is how it was implemented with THIS legislation as opposed to how other countries such as Spain and Belgium implemented theirs. Even European countries and Canada said this bill was a travesty, and they should know. They have had socialized medicine for years. I guess people who blindly follow their politicians they worship like sheep didn’t realize that even some of the authors of it are saying it is a train-wreck now because it will kill jobs. That is ONE thing I do agree with the right-wing on–the fact that jobs are being lost and hours cut to part-time over it.
There are those in the Democratic Party who are bigoted against any person living in a Red State. That is what I have encountered here. That type of hatred and bigotry is what is turning people to third parties. The people are do this are no different than the “haters” they condemn. It is regional bias and it is as evil as racism and misogyny. This is why Red States don’t tend to listen to what Blue States have to say at all, and this is a fact. I also think that the hatred for Blue states from the Red ones is no different. It is also turning people to any candidate that will support putting money back into American paychecks–even if it means repealing the ACA in a few years. No Democrat will win any hearts and minds by tolerating this type of bias among their own members and neither will the GOP. They need to police themselves a bit.
If they want to keep Universal Health Care, the government is going to have to look at Spain and Belgium and try to implement something similar in time because the American people as a whole do NOT like parting with rent money, grocery money, gas money and other things that are needed. This isn’t about “the rich paying their fair share” either.
If you really want to know what angers me at both parties right now, it is that they think they are above the law and continually exempt themselves from it. It is time for THIS:
“Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States.”
This would be the 28th Amendment to the Constitution should it be ratified and I will support any candidate that will uphold it.
I only look for support for this to come from the people who are fed up with the status-quo and some Libertarians.
What are the other states going to do if some of the states that are hotly opposed to this particular law implement the right to nullification? Yes, states do have the right to say, “We aren’t going to enforce this.” like it or not.
Now I am going to vent like hell. Buckle up. I am about to get really ugly and nasty here. Here is the reality of the situation in this state and why we don’t trust either party for the most part:
Cost of living should be a factor in deciding subsidies and I can assure you, there are families making $35K a year living in tents around here. I’m paying to live in an RV and had to leave a 3 BR house. I was paying $495 for the house until my check got hit. I’m paying $600 for the RV and of that, the rent space is $400. This is what is really pissing people off. Elderly people ARE living in storage rooms and this was just another hit to those of us who have to live out here. My take home pay right now is around $400 a week. $600 rent, $433 car payment, money for gasoline, $250 for medical expenses even WITH the insurance and my expenses are now outweighing income.
Food banks are keeping busy right now. To save propane, I eat in a soup kitchen. This is reality, but these people are wonderful. They are going through the same thing. Legally, I am considered to be homeless even though I have a paycheck. To others who are affected in this respect, Obamacare is going to be a HUGE issue even though it is the greed from this oil boom out here that is causing the housing problem. This state is in trouble–big time if it doesn’t put in rent controls. The Democrats won’t do it because they are on the board of Realtors . The GOP won’t do it because they own most of the property in question. Now everyone knows why TX is getting mad at BOTH major parties and the problem is spreading to other areas where the new shale bed was discovered.
And then we have to sit and listen to this bullshit about how “Red States are to blame for yada, yada, yada” and it is getting really old to those of us who voted for people like Ann Richards…REALLY old. To those of us who experience that type of bigotry (and we are of several races), it is no different than the hatred exhibited by the WBC, the KKK or anyone else of that ilk. We are not “right-wing”. We are not “left-wing”. We are Texans. We are also Americans. If you want our respect, those who have bashed this state should give it some. We are not Rick Perry. In fact, a lot of us didn’t vote for him. Personally, I’d love to resurrect Ann Richards because she took no shit off of the Democratic Party OR the GOP. Neither did Mark White. If Mark White would run, I’d vote for him in a heartbeat. By the way haters, he is a Democrat…
Hate me all you like…Hate my state…Say all the bad things about the people here that you want, but for all the arrows you shoot in our direction and/or at any other southern state, “red state” or whatever else you label them by, it will only turn on you later. If you hate this state that much, vote to kick it out of the union. We have our own infrastructure and power grid. You’d be doing us a favor, being that 85% of the military comes from here and would probably move back here to help rebuild us as an independent nation if you really don’t want us in the union. Oh I forgot…You need the oil from the shale that put hard-working Americans like yours truly into an RV park…Happy now? Yeah, that big oil money you haters keep bitching about is what helps get tax money to cover all the programs you so love keeping around. You can’t have it both ways. Either you want us to be in the union, or you don’t. If you don’t, then write to your congressman/woman to kick us out. By the way, if you do that, you don’t have to bitch about that faction that wants to secede anymore too. Oh, I forgot! You don’t want to have nothing to bitch about! It’s what keeps you haters going!
There…I’m through bitching. Happy now? I have to go anyway. The smell of that package I just got via my grandson reminds me a lot of the haters’ bullshit I read on Facebook. Then again, those haters are like used diapers.
Oh by the way, if you DO decide to kick this state out of the union, will it be ejected along with the original lands it came into the union with being that the people of Texas never voted on being annexed in the first place? If you’re not sure about where those lands are, Google it.
Good News…
The biopsy was normal. No cancer. I still don’t know why I kept hemorrhaging. I’m on medication now–progesterone. I will know after my doctor’s appointment today what is going to be done about this freaking huge cyst on my right ovary. I still strongly urge anyone who is advised to have the biopsy to simply do it.
I had already discussed with my family what course I would take if cancer was involved. Surgery yes–chemotherapy no. I know people who died more quickly from the chemotherapy than the disease itself–but it is not the rate toward the demise that made me say no–it was their suffering. Besides, I prefer to let nature take it’s course. I feel that radiation therapy is like “fighting fire with fire”–and in the case of this, had it come to fruition, it makes no sense to me.
I told my sons if I’m meant to live I’ll live. If meant to die, then chemo or radiation won’t change the outcome anyway. That is just my view. Realistically, it isn’t that I have a death wish. I just feel that such invasive and painful treatments would be more of a burden to my family.
Now that I got that out in the open, I will update you when I get finished at the doctor’s office tomorrow. I am looking forward to two days with my grandson soon. Life is good, no matter what hand I am dealt. I always manage and that is what counts.
The New Mob…
Note: Most who know me know that politicians are the last people on Earth I would ever put my trust into. That is where this is coming from…
A mobster walks in to your business. “We can give you protection but you’ll need to pay us a certain fee for this protection.” “I don’t need or want what you have to offer. I can protect myself.” you tell him. “You might want to reconsider that. Things can happen, yanno?”he says.
“I’ll take my chances.” you say to him.
Within two weeks he comes into your store, holds you at gun point and takes a third of your earnings for that day and tells you, “There is nothing you can do about this. You’ll pay it one way or another and we are coming once a pay period to collect. This is our neighborhood and we OWN the police.”
Then you are left struggling. “How can I pay the bills? The car payment? The vendors?” Your significant other is in tears and says, we should leave this place… What do you do? Leave or try to change it?
Think about this seriously for one moment. It is your business and family being extorted…YES, EXTORTED. Now let us change-up the scenario a bit…
Let us look at our government officials. They have taken upon themselves to pass into effect an extortion bill without the consent of the governed. By this I mean the Affordable Care Act. The only ones who benefit from this are those who cannot or will not pay. And those of us who obey the law, keep our jobs and DO pay are having to move out of our homes in West Texas. It is the working people like us–LIKE ME who have to live in an RV/Camper that my former boss owns because on what I make I cannot even rent an apartment. I could live in my car if something were to happen, but hopefully it won’t happen anytime soon.
Please don’t go into the supply vs. demand bullshit. There are two to three property management companies in town that handle ALL of the apartments here and they began gouging when they realized the boom was coming and it is happening EVERYWHERE in West Texas. There are many families with $35K a year coming in that have to live in tents and storage rooms over this crap. Thanks to this, I can’t even save up the money to MOVE elsewhere. We are trapped in this area like slaves. I actually think it was planned out to be this way too.
No American should have to live like this but this is our government at work in all of its infinite lack of wisdom. It is my opinion that they are trying to make everyone dependent upon it. They are creating the crisis to get us to cave into them. That is the last thing we should be doing. Why? They work for US. WE are not here to serve them and their lemmings and special interests. The two major parties are destroying the country and it is time we change direction totally. I will never vote for a candidate out of either major party again–unless they are Libertarian leaning. They lied to us all and failed us as a people.
And if we really wanted to send a strong message to them as a people, all everyone would have to do is pull together and pass a law that requires all citizens are to receive the same quality of care and help regardless of profession, sex, race, age, income etc with NO EXEMPTIONS–meaning our fearless government leaders (sarcasm intended) would have to be on the same program… Pass a law like that and it will over-ride this damned debacle they didn’t read in the first place. In fact, they should be fired and jailed for not reading it, subjecting US to it and EXEMPTING THEMSELVES from it. NO OTHER COUNTRY does this to its people…
At least with a bill like I gave an example of, they CANNOT be exempt from it. It would also make void direct IRS access to our bank accounts and leave decisions about medical care between doctor, patient and his/her family and not some idiot not qualified to practice medicine on the other end of a phone line.
When our founders wrote the Constitution, they did not intend to exempt themselves from the laws they passed. They did not set themselves up like a monarchy or oligarchy either. They did not believe in the principle of “diplomatic immunity” either. This country needs to change that as well. We are the only country that allows this garbage to the best of my knowledge.
Anyway back to my original point. They are supposed to be working for US. Not passing laws over the will of the population and that is exactly what has happened. The only way to change this is to win elections locally first–right down to mayoral races and school board elections and work our way up from there. And I seriously hope that all of them who signed this into law get convicted of running the nation’s largest Ponzi scheme, which is exactly what this sham of a health care law is. By passing it, the government has made itself the new “mob”.
And before anyone starts bitching, I pay my share and always have. I grew up and had to work 2 jobs–sometimes 3 to survive. I should not have to do that again at my age and it really has me pissed off. THAT is what both major parties have done for me. That is why I have never trusted politicians and never will–especially Dems and Repubs. Don’t try to tell me the Dems are for the poor and working class either. After what they did to the unions, I know that is bullshit. Don’t tell me the Repubs care about my values either. If they did, the Sioux would have been awarded the land stolen from them over time–when the descendants of the thieves that stole it, who are now on it (and controlling it) die off.
Either way, I am looking at 3rd party candidates for the most part in my state over this crap.

it speaks to why the Rolling Stone cover with Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is the real problem for anyone who is tired of the media meddling and interfering with trying this case when the courts should by trying the guy. If this case ends in a mistrial, the jury pool is already tainted anyhow.
What worries me more is that America is becoming too comfortable with the media covering up some stories while expounding on others, depending on what political affiliation the subject of the story entails. This is NOT journalism. I do not even consider it to be close to being worthy of the term. Reporters should be reporting any breaking story–not the ones that make one person look bad as they work to protect the political entities they tend to favor–or those who own them…Take your pick on that one.
If the powers that be don’t want to get their heads out of their fannies and fix the mess in this country, then the moderates need to band together with other independents and simply vote libertarian and be done with these jokers already. I’d truly prefer it if the bankers were jailed with them too, but I did notice that OUR media didn’t report on what Iceland did to fix their economic woes and the people did it–not the government…
The media also needs to inform the government that children are NOT their property. They are not property of the village, state, collective or whatever the hell they want to call it. In fact, I am thinking that government is too big, paid too much and doing to little to preserve this nation. They should be fired. It’s that simple. I’m tired of both parties making excuses and pointing fingers at each other, and pitting Americans against each other on what should be common sense issues. Stop trying to legislate who can be with who–whether it’s marriage or whatever. In short, the government, along with most Americans can make this a better place by tending to their own back yards instead of trying to control what everyone else does in theirs. If the media would listen to the viewers (the majority of whom are fed up with the bull going on in Washington), they might enjoy better ratings for a change.
And for those reporters who claim to be Christian out there–get the board out of your eye before trying to pull the splinter out of everyone else’s since judgment will begin with the “House of God”. If you read your bibles, then you should be able to quote chapters and verses that statement is out of. If not, stop being hypocrites and dust them off and read those things once in a while. Better yet FOLLOW the rules in it so you won’t be in other peoples’ business. It’s up to God to judge others–not you.
My mountain looks better all the time. I don’t have to listen to all the lies on the news up there too. The members of the media are tentacles of the beast that keeps this crap going and it is time that Americans stop judging each other and start pointing the finger at the leadership of this country, however they must quit believing the media first because all of them tend to lie too much or omit facts while being overly free with their opinions. They, along with the government have failed the country. It remains divided. Now the PEOPLE must fix this mess because they will not. They will only make it worse. I am truly starting to wonder if Iceland had the right idea.

Thoughts on the Tests…
I went to the doctor recently and had more tests ran–namely a pap smear and an Endometrial biopsy. My sister had prepared me for the worst…I was quite prepared to go through an excruciating amount of pain, invent some new vernacular along the way and possibly come up flying off of the table fists swinging.

I will say at this point, it was not as bad as it was made out to be but the speculum felt hot! They apologized for that. To be honest, all I felt was some pressure and that was IT. I did feel some cramping afterward and my ibuprofen took care of that. That could be because of the fact my uterus is probably so inflamed, that wouldn’t make much difference.
I am now waiting for test results. Guys, if your partner is avoiding having this done, get her to do it regardless. It might save her life. This is done a lot of the time to rule out cancers and such and it is not half as bad as she is thinking it will be. All in all, it took about 5-10 minutes tops from prep to finish.

I remember where I was that morning. I was teaching classes that had 30 students or more, who went into utter shock. One of my special needs students thought his parents went down on the plane that left Dulles. We finally got him calmed down and when he realized they were in Dallas he was fine.
For two weeks afterward, counselors spoke with kids who were heartbroken for those in NYC who lost family members, friends, teachers, etc….They drew pictures and made cards for them. Our country was united from old to young…
This is exactly why we must never forget this attack any more than this nation must never forget Pearl Harbor, lest we stay divided.

Let’s see, we all know their utter hatred for any and all things outside of their own micro bubble–like the military, homosexuals, and anyone they feel truly entitled to cast the first stone at in the sin department.
Given their activity, I am starting to think that the Supreme Court needs to be investigated and given psychiatric evaluations for ruling that their hate speech is protected speech. I truly question their competency to be fit for the bench in light of this. Anyone else would have been under federal investigation by now and CPS would be involved with as to how they are raising the children–and their speech would definitely NOT be protected..
I’m sick of this lot and their self-righteous Pharisee like attitude. They are no better than the bullies I actively crusade against and what makes my blood boil the most is that the government actually protects this homo-phobic, racist ilk. Yes they are racists! I’ve no seen one person of anything beside Caucasian descent in their pictures and videos.
I have a wonderful idea, and I’m sure it will go over like a lead balloon. Why not drop them down in the middle of Syria or Iran and see how brave they are then?

I Warned That This was Getting Political…
I usually refrain from politics. I am no politician. I detest politics because to me it is equal to corruption. You have people vying for power, but they want that power and are negligent of the people who are subject to them. In the name of progress, they destroy–lives and land. In the name of security they lie and take from the people. In the name of “betterment for society” they take what is not rightfully theirs to take or preside over that which they have no business getting involved in. This is what America has come to. No person knows how to mind their own business and let people be who they are, and I think that they do not care how many cultures and peoples they wipe out to make THEIR world a better place. I could care less who one marries, but I do care that our children are the ones who pay the price for all the division this country has become embroiled in.
Yet nobody seems to know or care that this nation is imploding. As long as they get to watch their next NFL game, episode of “The Voice”, “I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant“, NCIS or whatever, they do not care that they are being trampled upon and laughed at by those in Washington D.C.
We are to blame for this. For too long, America has sat back and let their next door neighbors run over them–with regard to the subjects of how to live their lives and how to raise their children. Well if some of these people had stood up to these neighbors and raised their kids right, our prisons wouldn’t be over-crowded–and yet THIS is the crowd running the country? It is time for America to take back its schools, its children, its local governments, state governments and then the Federal Government. It is time to clean house.
Now we can become involved in yet ANOTHER Middle Eastern conflict. I would like to know how it is that usually the White House circumvents Congress when given half a chance and now all of a sudden these “representatives of the people” are going to give this person free license to enable more blood of our precious sons and daughters to be shed? These people say that those who agree with the Constitution cling to “guns and religion”…Well my question is this: “What do our enemies in the Middle East cling to”? What? I can’t hear you. However, I think I just heard a pin drop in Washington D.C.
Great Britain took to the streets and stopped involvement in this and it is time the moms in America did the same thing. If the dads want to join in, that’s even better! If this offends some of my friends, I make no apology for it. My son almost died and he is never going to be the same. I do NOT want to see any other person endure what my boy had to deal with. I have no desire to see the plethora of flag-draped coffins that would come out of this disaster either. Not that D.C. gives a damn. They really don’t care about us as a people. However maybe this is something we should look at:

Perhaps if all members of Congress were required to go and live in a place like this for six weeks or 4 months they would think twice before getting our children, brothers, sisters, parents, etc…killed. Look , we sign their paychecks. They are supposed to be working for us, but in the past 8 years, they haven’t. It is time to put them in their place or vote them out. They don’t care about you, me or anyone else. If they did they would be listening to the majority of people, who disagree with this administration, its policies and the way Congress is allowing itself to get stomped on at every turn because the Senate doesn’t give a damn either. Wake up, people! We and our children have been at their disposal long enough!
How much longer do we have to pay for the mess this country has gotten itself into with the sweat of our brow and the blood of our sons and daughters? Take a long pause and think about what I just asked. I do know this much, I will support NO CANDIDATE from either party in the next round of elections if they support getting us into another war. It is my tax money that enables them to live among the 1-2% people keep complaining about. Maybe we should take that back and the power over our bank accounts as well. You do know that they gained power over your bank account, right? Read the Affordable Care Act in its entirety and get back to me. They gained far too much power through it. Here is the link to it. At least if you read it, you will KNOW what is in it which is more than I can say for the ones who passed this thing and thus betrayed us all.
In short, we have been betrayed by them and are slowly being enslaved. That is their real goal and I want better than that for my sons and my grandson…It is sad that a majority of our representatives in Congress now only represent their own interests and not the American people who put them into office.
How to Manage Complaints–Literally…
After many complaints on various subjects, I have found that categorizing the complaint levels is a tremendous help: Cat 1: These have top priority so sharpen your wit and deal with them bluntly and honestly. Cat 2: General whining and such: Always answer with one word: “And?” especially if they are in your circle and you can do NOTHING about what they are complaining about. Cat 3: The ones that do not make sense. Answer with “Can you rephrase that please?” and MAYBE they will form a coherent thought that one can deal with and cause their complaint to make it from this “junk box” level to a Cat 2.
I have also found that most of the ones in the Cat 3 box tend to come at me when I am at various parties, or at the club. And the people levying them as if trying to aim a gun without a sight on it, are too drunk to pull my trigger. They tend to sound like the late Foster Brooks–only with speech less intelligible.
